Responsibilities:
- The candidate will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop solutions in the space war-fighting domain and will need to possess a broad understanding of space war-fighting operations and systems development. This candidate will work directly with business development and program managers while engaging with United States Space Command (SPACECOM) service and functional components.
Must-haves:
- Bachelors of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in systems development
- Experience working in and leading multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Basic understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V)
- Proven ability to conduct technical trade studies and provide guidance for developing solutions
- Recent experience with Orbital warfare and senor integration
- Advanced understanding of United States Space Command (SPACECOM) mission and responsibilities
- Advanced understanding of integrated systems for space control, ballistic missile defense, and ISR
- Knowledgeable of Space Command and control systems, Information technology systems, Electro-optic Sensing, and Radio Frequency principles
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred:
- Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
- Basic experience with establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
- Basic knowledge of requirements management and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
