JOB SUMMARY:
This is a summer internship in our Engineering department. The intern will review existing design catalogs to determine which designs do not have many changes in the cabinetry and wiring, indicating the “stable” designs. The intern will then determine if we could make standard equipped panel assemblies that include all the panel hardware in one 3D design instead of multiple models. At the end of the internship, the intern will present the findings to Engineering Management to review for cost & development analysis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Research 3D designs for project solutions using Catia V5 and VPM
- Creation of Product Change Sheet (PCS) to present the new idea(s) to design engineering management for inputs
- Follow-up reviews of project progress (Initial, Mid-term, Final)
- Final presentation of project(s) worked and status
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skilled in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint & other standard Microsoft applications
- Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Willingness to interact with multiple departments inside & outside of design engineering
- Must reside in the United States
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical Engineering major preferred
