SEIT SDA O&I / GMI I&T Engineer

Contract Position
$80.05-$85.05/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy state-of-the-art ground operational systems to support mission-critical defense and space operations.
- Develop and deploy advanced ground operational systems, ensuring mission readiness and system integration.
- Lead software development life cycle activities, applying industry best practices and technical standards.
- Implement DevSecOps methodologies, supporting CI/CD pipeline development and test automation.
- Design and integrate ground-to-satellite communication systems for mission-critical applications.
- Perform system integration, testing, and validation for Missile Warning/Missile Tracking systems.
- Utilize Agile development processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field; or a Master’s degree with reduced experience requirements.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience:
- 8+ years in software engineering and system integration (or 6+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Expertise in DevSecOps tools and platforms, including AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD development.
- Strong background in system testing, automation, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of satellite communications and ground operations
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, testing, and operations.
- Familiarity with ground-to-satellite communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Agile development processes.
