Senior Advanced Software Engineer

Contract Position

$80.11-$85.11/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Lead front-end GUI development on a rapid prototyping team, driving requirements analysis, development, integration, and defect resolution throughout the software lifecycle.
• Contribute to rapid prototype projects using C++ and QT graphical interface development tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of software components and systems.
• Apply agile methodologies in a fast-paced, results-oriented engineering environment.
• Support system integration and testing efforts, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

  Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

  Experience:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years with a master’s degree.
  • Strong experience with front-end and GUI development using C++ and QT.
  • Experience in software development from concept through deployment and testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

  Technical Skills:

  • Expert in electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.
  • Experience with schematic entry and signal/power integrity analysis using Mentor tools (Constraint Manager, HyperLynx SI/PI).
  • Proficient in R&D processes, troubleshooting, and circuit card schematic analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in architecture, component selection, and design strategies.

  Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with rapid prototyping environments.
  • Prior use of QT for graphic GUI design.
  • Strong knowledge of modern front-end frameworks is a plus.
