Senior FPGA Engineer job at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this full time, direct hire, salaried job you will support cutting-edge research, development, and prototyping efforts, designing, integrating, and fielding FPGA-based solutions for high-performance embedded systems in Cyber and Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. To qualify for this job you will be a U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance and 10+ years of experience in digital logic design, FPGA programming, system integration, and military technology development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based solutions for advanced Cyber/EW applications.
• Conduct research and development (R&D), prototyping, and system integration to support mission-critical defense projects.
• Develop and optimize digital logic designs using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog (C is a bonus).
• Work closely with hardware engineers, embedded software developers, and RF engineers to integrate FPGA designs into embedded systems.
• Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and verification of FPGA designs.
• Develop testbenches and validate designs using industry-standard simulation tools.
• Optimize FPGA resource utilization and power consumption for performance efficiency.
• Ensure seamless integration and fielding of FPGA-based military technology and systems.
• Work on mission-critical defense technology supporting Cyber/EW programs.
• Hybrid flexibility depending on client approval (Primary work location: Aberdeen Proving Ground).

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance
• Bachelor degree and 10+ years of FPGA design and development experience
• Thorough understanding and at least 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in: Engineering Research & Development (R&D), Prototyping, Integration, Testing, and Fielding of military technology and systems in Cyber/EW programs.

• Proficient in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware integration.
• Knowledge of RF communications and signal processing is a plus.
