What will you do in the role?

You will ensure relevant Technical Performance trends are investigated and presented concisely at the monthly Jet2.com Reliability Review Board Meetings. This includes recommendation and management of relevant corrective and preventative measures to improve aircraft reliability performance. You will also be responsible for maintaining and building upon relationships with Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to achieve maximum component and system reliability.

The Reliability Support Engineer supports the management and control of Continued Airworthiness and Technical Performance by means of assessment and evaluation of Component Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and technical publications. You will communicate information to relevant teams, ensuring follow up actions are accomplished to an approved standard within agreed timescales.

The Reliability Support Engineer will stay up to date with the latest industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies that can impact the airlines reliability program & overall asset performance. You will be required to attend conferences, seminars, and training programs to continuously learn and expand your knowledge.

In return, the successful candidate will be supported by the Reliability Engineers and Senior Reliability Engineer to develop a deep understanding of the aircraft maintenance programs and philosophies. Nurture a strong understanding of the airlines maintenance program, including its goals, objectives, and performance metrics. And develop an in-depth understanding and application of statistical analysis methods to perform root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

The successful candidate:
  • Will ideally have a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, although similar qualifications or industry experience may also be considered.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with all levels across the business.
  • Be highly numerate and analytical; with a keen interest in data.
  • Have meticulous attention to detail.
  • Have a high level of critical and creative thinking for problem solving.
  • Be dedicated, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work at pace with a strong focus on delivery and benefit realisation.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of evaluating and predicting performance (using data from multiple sources and in multiple formats) to increase asset availability.
  • Have some experience managing and supporting key vendor relationships.
