We are now recruiting for an experienced Quality Production Specialist to be part of our Quality team on the MQ-28 Ghost Bat Program. This role is an incredible opportunity to be part of Australian history as we continue work to deliver this Australian designed and built capability to customers. Reporting to the MQ-28 Quality Manager, as an integral team mate, you will be responsible for the development and deployment of the Quality Management System required to support the world-class production facility in regional Queensland. This role will be primarily based at our Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport facility with travel to other production locations around western Brisbane and nationally when needed. Your work hours will be required to align to production support needs with flexibility to adjust in consultation with managers. This role is based in South-east Queensland from various locations including Brisbane, Wacol, Amberley or Toowoomba.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
  • Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years experience with Quality Management System (QMS), tertiary level engineering, aviation, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, quality management or equivalent qualification and/or commensurate level of professional knowledge and experience.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated application of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards highly desirable.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to proactively and independently resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of aerospace composite manufacturing, assembly, installation and repairs highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with an integrated and geographic disperse teams.
  • Ability to knowledge share and coach Manufacturing technicians on QMS requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage team members proactively and actively seek professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Adept prioritisation and time management skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Be an Australian Citizenship to ensure you have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to NV1 level.
