Responsibilities:
Perform detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards under the direction of a team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
Work from schematics, part lists, and a basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by the team of electrical and mechanical engineers
Use the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor, and other related tools.
Create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints, etc
Run Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure your work is error-free and the design will meet expectations
Check drawings against the project inputs for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- An associates degree or equivalent is required, plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- The ideal candidate has:
- extensive experience designing HDI printed circuit/wiring boards for high-speed designs
- Well-versed in MIL and IPC Standards
- Familiar with the current Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools, including Xpedition Design and Layout, Valor (artwork checking tool), Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), and Drawing Editor.
- Demonstrate a passion for innovation, teamwork, and a strong sense of ownership.
