STS Technical Services is hiring a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team supporting Harley-Davidson in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and supporting injection molding operations and related support areas. Your technical expertise will be key to developing and optimizing manufacturing control systems, driving efficiency improvements, and ensuring product quality and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve safety, quality, cost, workflow, and on-time product delivery within injection molding and support areas.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to analyze and develop manufacturing control systems, collaborating with Work Group Advisors, Quality and Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Support Services.
- Problem Solving: Utilize problem-solving skills to address manufacturing challenges, conduct testing, and program robots for optimized production.
- Efficiency Enhancements: Lead cost reduction programs through manufacturing efficiency improvements, focusing on schedule attainment and first-run capacity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with various departments to ensure alignment on manufacturing objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly within injection molding processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in manufacturing control systems, problem-solving, and robot programming.
- Collaborative Abilities: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Quality and Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Support Services.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated success in driving process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements in a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
