Summary:
Provides support for detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations.
Develops procedures to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while resolving production issues related to materials, processes, and tooling.
Interpret engineering drawings to align with manufacturing objectives.
Serve as a liaison between design, tooling, production, quality, and machine shop teams.
Analyze statistical data (process capability, throughput, test studies) to improve production.
Develop and document functional test processes, tooling, equipment, and quality control methods.
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring compliance with HACI standards.
Maintain and update functional test plans, including BOM configuration.
Prepare tooling requests and discrepancy reports, supporting manufacturing planning.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred.
Six Sigma training preferred.
Aviation experience required.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with SAP, CAD/CAM, CATIA, and Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
Expertise in mechanical, airframe, and powerplant technical support.
Experience troubleshooting glass cockpit systems, wiring mods, and terminations.
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interface professionally with engineers, suppliers, and vendors.
Flexibility for travel, changing priorities, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Exposure to equipment noise, heat, cold, dust, and aircraft-related odors.
Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. independently and 50+ lbs. with assistance.
Work in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors.
Compliance with FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other safety regulations.
