Job Description SummaryLead Engineer - Fleet Mdel will work on building predictive fleet models for GE engine CSA fleet. This will include development of time on wing and cost model for CSA engines, which are used to forecast number of engine shop visits and cost of shop visits. This position offers excellent leadership development skills and an opportunity to link technical depth with the commercial side of the Aviation. In addition, you will have exposure to large datasets, big data pattern recognition, signals detection, clusters identifications, transforming field data into actionable information about engine field capability.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute analysis for aircraft engine fleets, particularly FMs (fleet model) to support business decisions related to Customized Service Agreements
Deliver reliability, availability, maintainability prediction based on probabilistic fleet model
Identify and execute on high quality data availability efforts for durability and cost modeling. Apply creative solutions, experienced judgment or machine learning methodology to solve TOW/SV cost related complex problems critical to the company
Effectively identify and scope productivity projects addressing customer needs, deliver business results, identify leverage opportunities, institutionalize project benefits
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projects Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Develop, monitor and communicate around project plans, status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
Share and discuss findings with team members.
Education Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
Desired Characteristics
Minimum 4 years of industry experience
Demonstrated skill in building weibulls, using weibulls for forecasting. Experience in building regression analysis.
Familiarity of aircraft engine architecture and services
Demonstrated skill at data cleansing, data quality assessment, and using analytics for data assessment
Demonstrated skill in the use of applied analytics, descriptive statistics, feature extraction and predictive analytics on industrial datasets
Demonstrated skill at data visualization and storytelling for an audience of stakeholders
