- Arconic Inc.’s Tennessee Operations is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer for our Central Engineering Group.
- The incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Tennessee Operations capital budget and providing engineering support for various projects across the plant site.
- The successful incumbent will also provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems.
- This is a key role with specific accountability for planning and managing the site capital priorities, project portfolio, evaluating risk, and capital spending forecasts.
- This person will also develop, manage, and implement capital projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional engineering and operations teams.
- Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, equipment and components to include, facilities and industrial infrastructure, cranes, electrical power systems, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project leadership and engineering, equipment specification, project scope development, estimating and project financial controls.
- Demonstrated proficiency in equipment repair and replacement analysis, engineering economics, and capital project investment analysis.
- Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience.
- Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment and infrastructure.
- Broad engineering, operations, and maintenance background.
- Strong engineering and technical leadership skills.
- Experience and understanding of world class manufacturing techniques, Lean, and Continuous Improvement.
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
