Boeing Brazil is seeking a Flight Controls Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Flight Controls Design Team located in São José Dos Campos, Brazil.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades on the primary and secondary structure of the existing and new programs for The Boeing Company.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
Develops, maintains and modifies structural systems and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Works under general direction.
Travel may be required in support of the program and customer.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
Experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX)
Experience with aerospace structures design
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience validating or verifying structural models
Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
Experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
Experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
