Pay Estimated: $33-$40 per hour
Leading the charge in designing, developing, producing, integrating, and sustaining the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) on both U.S. and Australian submarines, as well as the Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS) on U.S. and Foreign Military submarines. Our dedicated CWL and MTWS team collaborates closely with the Navy, internal production teams, and industry partners to ensure the flawless delivery and operation of these critical systems in laboratory and submarine environments.
Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist to contribute to the designing, developing, producing, integrating, and sustaining the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) on both the U.S. and Australian submarines
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with CWL and MTWS engineering teams to plan, execute, and document integration and system-level testing
Develop test cases, test procedures, and validation criteria for new systems and corrective changes
Conduct Verification & Validation (V&V), including hardware/software defect analysis and troubleshooting
Perform on-site tasks such as system installations, removals, and validation aboard submarines and in test labs
Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment to verify system performance
Configure test labs using port maps, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
Identify and document software, firmware, and hardware issues, collaborating with engineering teams for resolution
Participate in formal and informal customer-driven test events
Provide technical field support, occasionally traveling to submarine homeports (domestic/international)
Support the Logistics team in creating installation and operational documentation
Qualifications:
- Federal Law requires U.S. Citizenship
An active DoD Secret clearance is required
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, OR 4+ years of job-related experience, is required
Experience with at least one of the following submarine systems:
AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, AN/BQQ-10, or other common Weapon Launcher system
Software testing, test planning, and analysis (Object-oriented programming, system scripting, or automation tools)
General understanding of network configurations, IP addressing, and command-line interfaces
U.S. Navy/Submarine experience is highly valued
