Engineering and Ground Operations Manager NL - Fulltime
Bristow Netherlands BV is seeking an Engineering and Ground Operations Manager who will be responsible for the management of all aspects of Engineering and Ground Operations for the Bristow operations in the Netherlands. The role will include assuming the position of Nominated Person (e.g. Post Holder) for Engineering (Part 145) and Ground Operations in accordance with EASA Part ORO. Bristow Netherlands BV currently delivers Search and Rescue services utilising AW189 helicopter.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Engineering and Airworthiness
Fulfill Nominated Person duties as per EASA and Dutch Antilles regulations, with competence assessed by the Accountable Manager and Compliance & Safety Manager.
Ensure compliance with EASA Part 145 and where applicable Part CAMO requirements for airworthiness and maintenance.
Notify the Accountable Manager of deficiencies affecting finance or standards.
Coordinate follow up of relevant Non-compliances post-audits and incidents in accordance with the Management System Manual.
Oversee implementation of corrective actions post-audits and incidents.
Manage engineering facilities, training, staffing, and storage compliance.
Lead and develop the engineering team to ensure safe operations.
Maintain qualifications, experience, and training records for the role.
Liaise with the Flight Operations Manager and design organizations on airworthiness matters.
Ensure compliance with Company Maintenance Expositions across all bases.
Ground Operations
Establish and maintain a compliant Ground Operations Management system.
Ensure regulatory compliance for all BNLBV bases, including training and safety requirements.
Oversee compliance with Dangerous Goods, Aviation Security, and ITAR regulations.
Monitor corrective actions post-audits and manage facilities&39; statutory inspections and maintenance.
Manage Survival Equipment Maintainers and ensure consistent standards of service.
Key Relationships
Liaise with internal managers, external organizations, service providers, and authorities to ensure operational and regulatory alignment.
Additional Duties
Professional Experience and Qualifications
Candidate must meet the criteria and be approved by ILenT to act as Nominated Person, Form 4 holder, before he/she is eligible to perform the roles described.
Holder of Category B1 or B2 maintenance license.
Previous management experience, preferably at Chief Engineer level.
Management training.
Strong understanding of the regulatory framework.
Leadership Competencies
Education
Relevant engineering or technical degree or an aircraft technician or maintenance engineer qualification with additional education acceptable/recognised by the competent authority.
Able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, background and satisfactory experience.
Must have knowledge of a relevant sample of the type(s) of aircraft or components gained through a formalised training course
Must have knowledge of the relevant maintenance methods (and how they are applied in the organisation) and/or specific knowledge relevant to the area
Must have practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
Adequate language and communication skills
Must have completed EASA Part-145/Part CAMO training
Must have completed Part-66 training
