Cyber Resiliency & Test Engineer

Salary- $120,000-$142,000
Provide cyber test planning support and conduct system security analysis to identify vulnerabilities in Air Force systems, working directly with the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron and the DoD Cybersecurity community to enhance cybersecurity test strategies for major DoD programs.
Qualifications:
- Clearance Requirement: Ability to Obtain Top Secret (SSBI) eligible.
- Citizenship Requirement:S. Citizenship required
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Systems).(Bachelor’s degree with significant additional experience may substitute for Master’s degree.)
- Experience: Over 10 years of technical experience in cybersecurity, aircraft/weapons systems, and/or IT systems.
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition and test & evaluation processes.
- Meet DoD Cyber Workforce Program requirements (DOD 8140 Series, AFMAN 17-1305) at the time of hire and maintain qualifications throughout employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (SSBI) clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with cyber test and evaluation activities, including CVIs, ACDs, CVPAs, and AAs.
- In-depth knowledge of the DoD Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation Guidebook.
- Experience with RMF processes and Mission-Based Cyber Risk Assessments.
- Understanding of network and systems security engineering.
- Proficient in software development.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cyber test strategies and methodologies, including Mission-Based Cyber Risk Assessments (MBCRAs), Cooperative Vulnerability Investigations (CVIs), Adversarial Cybersecurity Development Testing (ACD), Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessments (CVPAs), and Adversarial Assessments (AAs).
- Support programs in integrating cyber test strategies into acquisition, development, deployment, and functional testing.
- Create and document repeatable processes for cyber test and evaluation activities.
- Provide guidance and requirements for Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), technical requirements, and acquisition documentation.
- Assist in the development of Air Force and DoD guidance for cyber testing of aircraft, munitions, C4ISR, and IT systems.
- Facilitate MBCRAs and assist with cyber test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure programs meet cybersecurity objectives.
- Document cybersecurity deficiency reporting processes to improve developmental and operational testing.
