The Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate Level Packaging Engineer to join the Maintenance Engineering Team located in Mesa, AZ.
Boeing Mesa is the home of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Program while also supporting various other military platforms.
This position will provide assistance with logistics product support to ensure sustainment capability of products and services. The candidate will support gathering of information to maintain logistics, products and engineering data as well as assist with the development of systems support requirements and packaging requirements. Assists in providing logistics support influence on product designs, responding to basic customer inquiries, and evaluating implementation of engineering design changes
Position Responsibilities:
- Researches, develops, and validates packaging designs.
- Designs and develops material handling devices.
- Documents packaging instructions and coding packaging procedures and applies standards to protect parts during shipment.
- Works with shipping personnel to provide packaging instructions and technical guidance.
- Evaluates, classifies, designs, develops and tests packaging for parts protection and hazardous materials.
- Provides technical guidance for the shipment of hazardous materials.
- Performs logistics product support to ensure sustainment capability of products and services.
- Provides logistics support influence on product designs.
- Evaluates, validates, and implements engineering changes.
- Provides logistics support input for proposal development.
- Maintains logistics systems.
- May be asked to support additional programs.
- Works under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data.
- Working knowledge of CAD/3D design (NX/Unigraphics, Solidworks, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of environmental conditions of global shipment and product storage (corrosion, temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, etc.)

Associate-Level Summary pay range: $73,100 – 98,900.
