Boeing Brazil is seeking a Associate Flight Controls Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Flight Controls Design Team located in São José Dos Campos, Brazil.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades on the primary and secondary structure of the existing and new programs for The Boeing Company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists to develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.

  • Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

  • Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

  • Works under general supervision.

  • Travel may be required in support of the program and customer.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

  • Relevant experience with aerospace structures design

  • Relevant eexperience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX)

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Relevant experience validating or verifying structural models

  • Relevant experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment

  • Relevant experience with structural design principles for aircraft.

  • Relevant experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Relocation:

Additional Information:
