  • This job is a member of the FinOps (Cloud Cost Management) Team within the Cloud and Engineering Platform team
  • You will be part of the Cloud Optimization (FinOps) team. We are a central team supporting several IT / business units. Our focus is FinOps and cloud management. In this role you will be exposed to cutting edge cloud solutions.
What youll do
  • Analyze, optimize, and implement cost optimization actions over different cloud services
  • Implement and manage automated tools to help identify cost trends and anomalies
  • Build automation that optimizes the cloud environments to optimize cloud performance
  • Build and maintain relationship with customers and internal stakeholders; interact with engineers, executives, product managers and finance teams
  • Work with cloud vendors as needed
  • Support budget processes - Be a cost detective, perform Cost analysis deep-dives and create custom reports
  • Work on technical solutions to support FinOps and Cloud operations
  • Advise on cost effective architectures
  • Manages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testing
  • Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization
  • Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the project teams
All youll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering/Technology or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Concentration in Finance
  • Possess 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, FinOps or Vendor Client Success Management;
  • A solid understanding of Azure Cloud budget process; formulate budget base, create budget templates, understanding/proficiency in networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development concepts as it pertains to cloud computing
  • 3+ years experience with Azure and/or AWS

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology
  • Experience with chargeback modeling, cost savings and avoidance tracking, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Ability to work on multiple activities simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • FinOps Practitioner certification
  • Certification on one or more cloud platforms (Azure or AWS); Azure Fundamentals is preferred.
