Application Engineer (w/m/d)
As an EPM Application Engineer, you will provide technical support to EPM Parker LORD customers in Central and Eastern Europe, utilizing Parker LORD Rubber-to-Substrate bonding agents (Chemosil, Chemlok), Weatherstrip and Glass Coatings (Flocksil, Parflock, Sipiol, Cuvertin), and SME products (QDO, Poly DNB, latexes, Sipiol UV, etc.).
Your responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical services to customers, leveraging extensive knowledge to differentiate from competitors.
- Product Support: Address inquiries related to Product and Application Engineering in Eastern and Central Europe.
- Project Documentation: Track project progress and complete follow-up activities.
- Sales Assistance: Support the sales team through targeted customer visits, lab tests, and training sessions.
- Trial Management: Plan and document field trials and lab experiments to meet customer needs
- Technology Presentation: Showcase and promote new technologies and solutions to clients.
- Customer Training: Conduct training seminars and demonstrations for internal and external customers, including distributor training.
- Product Development Input: Contribute to the New Product Development (NPD) process based on customer feedback.
What you should bring:
- Technical Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Polymer science. Additional Certification and/or experience in Rubber Technologies is preferred.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years+ proven experience in adhesives, coatings, rubber and application methods within general industry and/or automotive sectors. Former experience in Central & Eastern Europe is a plus.
- Proactive and Self-Organized: Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with high competency in customer interactions.
- Team Player: Motivated to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment.
- Willingness to Travel: Availability to travel approximately 35 of the time (e.g., customer visits to Central & Eastern Europe, trade shows).
- Language Proficiency: Business-level German and English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is an asset.
- MS Office Proficiency: Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
