We are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M2” to join our team. This role is responsible for assessing and maintaining the condition of the aircraft and aviation related components/systems IAW regulatory requirements, OEM guidance materials and company policy manuals.
With facilities in Toronto and Waterloo Region, we are looking for experienced engineers to join our growing team in Breslau Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to an assigned supervisor and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed media.
- Basic knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations, use of OEM maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, and any related regulatory and OEM guidance materials.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft systems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electrical systems.
- Perform system checks and inspections as required to ensure aircraft systems are in compliance with regulatory, OEM and company policy manuals.
- Maintain a clean work area and alert the supervisor or safety representative of any safety concerns; take immediate action to ensure safety of others.
- Perform other work as may be assigned - willing to work shifts and overtime as may be required.
- Should be familiar with the general operation of ground support equipment, i.e., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as may be required.
Qualifications
- 1-5 years’ experience working on the Dash 8 series, Twin Otter, CL215/415.
- Must hold or be actively working towards a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M2 Transport Canada license.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with digital regulatory and/or OEM guidance materials.
- Ability to work Monday – Friday 730-1600, with flexibility for additional hours as required.
- Ability to lift to 25kg, as well as often work in confined spaces (Climb, kneel, and crawling ect.).
- Must be available to travel for occasional AOG recovery operations (or short periods of time for offsite projects).
