Position Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Electrical/Mechanical Assembler B to perform routine production assembly on structural, mechanical, and aircraft systems. In this role, you will work hands-on with assemblies, subassemblies, wiring, equipment, and accessories, ensuring all work meets strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine production assembly operations on aircraft structures, mechanical components, and systems using manual processes.
  • Conduct functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, wiring, and electrical faults.
  • Assess and document testing or analysis data to demonstrate compliance.
  • Identify roadblocks or production constraints and escalate unresolved issues clearly and promptly.
  • Support team performance through cross-training, mentoring, and collaboration.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:

Top Technical Skills

  • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Experience with aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • Proficiency conducting electrical system functional testing.
  • Ability to document findings accurately and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support team operations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience.
  • 1+ years of electrical assembly and/or working with electronic materials.
  • 1+ years of avionics troubleshooting, wire bundle installation, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
  • 1+ years using computers for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office, or specialized applications.
  • 1+ years reading, interpreting, and following detailed blueprints, drawings, or specifications (in English).

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform essential physical tasks, including:

  • Working variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Flexion/extension of the head/neck.
  • Handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, and overhead reaching.
  • Standing, walking, twisting, crawling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Climbing/balancing on stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, or inclined surfaces.

Additional Notes

  • These positions are variable shift roles; contractors must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on business needs.
  • 8–10 weeks of training will be provided.
