Role Introduction
Reports to: Senior Solution Lead
This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.
As the Solution Analyst, you will analyze requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspective.
You will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will be involved in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which align with the company’s vision and goals.
With your expertise, skills and knowledge in solution delivery, you will be assigned to our subsidiaries solution team, contributing major transformation projects within our subsidiary bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Subsidiaries HRMS Transformation Project Team and external vendors to drive project success, including but not limited to development of technical specification and solution designs
- Hands on technical development, implementation and support is required
- Carry out level 2 and level 3 incident supports for in-production systems and manage end user expectations. On call support might be required upon project need
- Oversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements and complies with all relevant Cathay Pacific standards
- Cultivate healthy relationships and team dynamics among internal and external stakeholders
- Analyse requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspective
- Review the external vendors’ development and implementation work under Cathay IMT standards and frameworks
- Collaborate with other IMT domains to drive innovation. Keep abreast of the business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of IT with proven experience in application development and support
- Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Proven experience or technical knowledge in SaaS Application and system integration. Experience in supporting HR related systems is preferable
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Strong interpersonal skills; Effective verbal and written communication skill
- Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities
- Experience in HR System Development Projects or knowledge in SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage
- Familiar with Hong Kong Employee Ordinance & Employee Compensation Ordinance is beneficial
