As a Senior Infrastructure Analyst on the Common Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a technical team covering a portfolio of enterprise products and services that strengthen our business and operational technology spaces. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), CyberArk Privilege Cloud, IT business workstations, SolarWinds Observability, and ManageEngine Password Manager Pro, ensuring these platforms remain healthy, secure, and ready to support the business.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys owning end-to-end production platforms, solving complex technical problems, and continuously improving how services are operated. Key Accountabilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Leads the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for assigned common infrastructure platforms and services, aligning priorities to business/operational outcomes, risk reduction, and cost effectiveness.
- Leads feasibility assessments and option analyses (scope, architecture, security controls, cost, schedule, resourcing, and operational impact) and provides recommendation-ready deliverables to stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluates emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps; defines and socializes technical standards, patterns, and guardrails for platforms in scope.
Design and Implementation
- Leads requirements discovery and translates business, operational, security, and safety needs into implementable designs (architecture, specifications, and delivery plans) for infrastructure systems and technology solutions.
- Leads hands-on delivery through build, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment (including automation where appropriate), ensuring production readiness through monitoring, documentation, code-review, and operational handover.
Systems Life Cycle Support
- Accountable for the ongoing operability, reliability, performance, and security of assigned services; plans and delivers lifecycle activities (upgrades, patches, configuration management, vulnerability remediation, and technical debt reduction) in accordance with IT/OT standards and defined service levels.
- Acts as the senior escalation point for platforms in scope; leads cross-team incident/problem resolution, coordinates changes, and ensures troubleshooting guides, communications plans, support documentation, and knowledge articles are created and kept current to improve frontline support outcomes.
Team Leadership / People Development
- Coaches and mentors team members through technical guidance, peer review, and hands-on support; identifies skills gaps and recommends learning plans and training aligned to current and future service needs.
- Supports the Manager by planning and assigning work, tracking progress, removing blockers, and providing timely feedback; implements and reinforces procedures, standards, and quality controls, and ensures the team is trained on their consistent application.
- Promotes a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing team environment; escalates resourcing, delivery risks, and provides recommendations to management on actions that improve collaboration, productivity, and service outcomes.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Graduated from a recognized university or college with a degree/certification in engineering, computer sciences, information technology, and at least 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Experience providing hands‑on technical leadership for enterprise common infrastructure platforms, acting as a senior escalation point while guiding a technical team responsible for the health, security, and lifecycle of critical services such as endpoint management, identity, certificate services, privileged access management, and monitoring solutions
- Experience owning end‑to‑end operations of production infrastructure services, including design, configuration, patching, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement, ensuring platforms remained reliable, secure, and aligned with evolving business and operational technology needs
- Experience collaborating with security, infrastructure, and service delivery stakeholders to implement and enforce standards for endpoint management, access control, certificate management, monitoring, and privileged access, translating operational and compliance requirements into well‑run, supportable services
- Experience driving service maturity through documentation, automation, and operational improvements, maintaining technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities to reduce risk, improve resiliency, and streamline support for enterprise platforms
Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of modern development and delivery life cycle processes, practices, and techniques, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps, and their application in a production enterprise environment.
- Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity considerations as they apply to infrastructure technologies, platforms, operating systems, and enterprise services.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell for system administration, reporting, and automation, with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and operational reliability.
- Knowledge of endpoint management concepts and practices, including device lifecycle management, configuration and policy enforcement, patching, security posture management, and support of Windows and/or Linux endpoints in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of privileged access management concepts, including least privilege, role‑based access control, and the management of privileged identities and credentials in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability concepts such as availability, performance, capacity, alerting, and event correlation, and their role in service reliability and operational decision-making.
Abilities :
- Ability to translate complex infrastructure and security concepts into clear, actionable guidance for technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders, supporting informed decision‑making and effective delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues in enterprise production and operational environments, including cross‑domain scenarios.
- Ability to provide senior‑level technical guidance and coordination across infrastructure, security, application, and support teams, resolving dependencies and driving consistent implementation outcomes.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies and best practices, and to coach team members through their effective and secure application in operational environments.
- Ability to produce clear, maintainable technical documentation and automation artifacts that enable operational handover, support readiness, and consistent team use.

Working conditions :
- This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 days per week on site at the Ottawa Technical System Centre, 280 Hunt Club Road.
