Welcome to Parker Industrial Process Filtration

At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.

The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all IPF Division Vessel products conform to the specified requirements, and that quality related activities are coordinated. 

Responsibilities

  •

    The duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

     

     

    • Prepare Project Quality Plans to define quality assurance requirements based on contract order review.

    • Perform non-destructive examinations – Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), and Hardness testing in accordance with pressure vessel standards.

    • Perform ISO product audits of manufacturing and ISO system audits and reports in accordance with current ISO 9001 Quality Manual.

    • Act as a liaison between customer inspectors and IPF Division’s project management personnel.

    • Perform required inspections at sub-contractor facilities.

    • Arrange product certification and laboratory testing services.

    • Maintain weld process certification by active welder.  

    • Review Mill Test Reports (MTR) for accuracy. 

       

       

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • At least one year quality control/quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working-level level proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) ASNT-TC-1A Level II certifications in MT, PT and UT methods required,

  • ASNT Central Certification Program (ACCP) Level II certifications preferred. 

  • UT method includes competency in the Phased-Array technique.

  • American Welding Society - Certified Welding Inspector preferred 

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor preferred.

     

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

 
  • High School Diploma and/or GED.

  • Related experience and/or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently, while visiting shop areas, be exposed to harmful light emitted by welding machinery and flying metal particles, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and moderate to high noise levels.  The duties of this job are also performed in climate-controlled temperature office environments, with low to moderate noise levels and fluorescent, incandescent and/or natural lighting.

  • Immediately report all safety issues including injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and near miss situations.
