Position Summary

Planner/Buyer is responsible for and manage purchasing of raw materials and services, materials requirements planning to maximize production efficiency, minimizing raw material and work in process inventory, and meeting customer’s required dock dates. Manage the supplier & customer relationship to align supply and demand for the operation.

Responsibilities

•Releases and manages production work orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals and related planning data.•Reviews production capacity requirements:  Monitors the reports and ensures capacity is available to meet the production plan.•Release and manage raw material orders through the MRP system as necessary to meet production schedule.•Works with customer service personnel on maintenance of promise dates to the customer and supporting any expedite’ s requests, cancellations, etc.•Manage, monitor and update raw material Kanban for assigned value streams.•Work with lean team on the continuous improvement process with the goal of visual planning•Resolve inventory discrepancies using lean tools and implementing corrective actions.•Keep and improve Supply’s Chain KPIS of Safety, LISC and DSI Inventory for the site and Divisional.•Set inventory control systems to ensure and maintain the inventory of MRO’s that support operations. •Manage supplier relationship: developing of new sources, monitor supplier’s performance metrics of delivery and quality (including for services, manage supplier’s contract to ensure their alignment to Parker’s policies located in the country (for commodities and services).•Monitor and analyze the expenses related MRO’s, looks for saving projects or opportunities to balance the expense for the site.•Monitor and plan with suppliers to ensure the accomplish of the WADPO metric according company’s policies.•Support to Accounts Payable on invoicing discrepancies from suppliers.•Identify and communicate any supply disruption that may affect to Operations to Manager and Commodity Manger and support with activities to avoid/mitigate risk.

Education: Engineering or administrative bachelor’s degree.Experience: 1-2 years of experience in supply chain areas: Procurement, Warehouse, and Inventories, Logistic, Production planning.Languages:Advanced English (80-90)
