Plant Maintenance Operator
Fort Bragg, NC
Contract Position
$26.00-$31.00/Hour
Support special operations forces by contributing to logistics and ground support systems that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of elite units. This role provides the chance to support high-priority missions, offering insights into the logistics and sustainment of critical defense operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, repair, and adjust utility plant systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, pipe-fitting, electrical wiring, and controls.
- Monitor and maintain all facility utility systems and control computers, executing shutdown and startup processes as required.
- Anticipate and address repair, maintenance, and installation needs for power plant equipment, encompassing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, welding, and electrical systems.
- Provide independent solutions for time-sensitive mission requirements, conducting market research for equipment upgrades focused on energy efficiency, security, and budget alignment.
- Interpret and execute engineering drawings and specifications for existing and new equipment installations.
Qualifications:
- Security: Secret Clearance
- Experience: Expertise in interpreting and executing engineering drawings and specifications for equipment installation and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical upgrades, with the ability to independently modify equipment.
- Familiarity with DoD and military training and equipment requirements.
- Ability to perform independent market research to recommend and procure suitable equipment.
- Desired Skills
- Certifications in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance.
