Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a FAL Short Term Planning specialist to join our Team  based in Mobile, AL

Meet the team:

The A320 Short Term operational planning Coordinator manages the aircraft schedule from Station 42 to FOT on the A320 assembly line in Mobile, AL. Responsibilities include tracking operational progress, coordinating aircraft movements, and anticipating short-term recovery scenarios.The role covers various areas such as the flow line,completion line, paint shop, and site Coordination. They lead planning meetings, provide data-driven proposals to different levels of operation management, and build short-term planning scenarios to mitigate risks. Proficiency with the APC Jaguar planning tool is required, as well as the ability to solve problems autonomously and handle unforeseen issues.

Your challenges:

• Manage aircraft positioning throughout all production phases based on operational needs.

• Work closely with site services to optimize daily aircraft movements, ensuring alignment with production requirements.

• Coordinate aircraft movement activities across the final assembly line, ensuring all aircraft are positioned effectively.

• Coordinate with the A220 program and customer line operations to resolve conflicts over resource and position needs.

• Manage and optimize the 0-4 week aircraft production schedule, including takt lines, completion lines, paint shops, and aircraft movements.

• Track and ensure adherence to major operation milestones from Station 42 to FOT on the A320 assembly line.

• Control resource capacity (manpower, machines, materials) to ensure operational efficiency.

• Develop recovery plans and adjust production schedules as necessary to meet targets and avoid delays.

• Lead the daily MPS meeting with FAL L2/L3 managers, analyzing production status and ensuring milestones are met.

• Coordinate production activities, identifying and addressing manpower shortages and bottlenecks.

• Provide planning input and solutions for aircraft position needs, ensuring smooth operations across the assembly line.

• Regularly analyze production lead-time and major milestones to anticipate risks and inform decision-making.

• Collaborate with EU VSM teams to prioritize tasks and resolve issues during crisis mode.

• Maintain KPIs, monitor planning adherence, and report on performance to local and EU stakeholders.

Your boarding pass:

• Bachelor&39;s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred 2 or more years working as an operational/program Planner.

• APC Jaguar user.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multifunctional teams and interface with internal and external suppliers locally and globally.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
