Job Summary
Join our Danbury, CT team as a Contracts Administrator supporting contracts initiatives for a variety of customers and suppliers including the government.
What You Will Do
- Administer and monitor contract performance on government contracts
- May assist with the negotiation and administration of agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Responsible for reviewing contract solicitation terms, handling contract award confirmations, interpreting agreement terms and conditions and identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments/modifications and incorporating changes
- Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, identify risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions
- Respond to standard inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
- Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
- Conduct fulfillment of contract deliverables, billings and cash collections
- Prepare proposals for customer requirements
- Prepare and analyze moderately complex price proposals
- Participate in TINA implementation/sweeps
- Negotiate standard terms and conditions
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and government contracting processes (sole source, competitive procurements).
- Proficient in contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ) and their appropriate applications.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property/software rights clauses and IP spaning guidelines.
- Skilled in cost/price analysis, source selection, and evaluation processes.
- Experienced in government property administration and contract administration (flow downs, change management, payment, close-out).
- Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; experienced in contract briefings and negotiations.
- Familiar with monitoring high-value contracts/subcontracts.
- NCMA membership and CPCM certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
