How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Onboard Service (OBS) Charters Team is seeking an OBS Catering Coordinator – Charters. This role will be responsible for supporting all Delta Charter catering requirements which will include regular communication with clients and being readily available to support any catering concerns, developing charter catering documents and coordinating with catering business partners to ensure execution. Customers include high profile VIPs, collegiate and professional sports teams, government, corporate and military charters. Delta Charters operates out of 160+ locations and this role will work closely with numerous catering business partners and outside restaurant partners. This individual will ensure that the flight crews have all required products and documents to support the flight. Additionally, this individual will provide the coordination and communication of catering requirements with each of our catering business partners and crews. This position will report directly to the Manager - OBS Charter Catering and will be based in Atlanta at the General Offices.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with high-profile clients to ensure catering needs are met and executed properly by catering business partnersWorks closely with the Delta Charter Operations group, Charter Coordinators, catering contractors, and outside suppliers/vendors, as well as OBS regional managers to ensure a safe, reliable operation. Promotes a safe and secure catering operation throughout the Delta Charter networkPartner with OBS Operational Leaders on various issues, staying in contact and providing subject matter expertise on charter catering related mattersFoster the client relationship to build trust in the Charter Catering Program Develop Charter documents, sourcing food and beverage products based on customer and operational requirements, while maintaining the catering budgetComplete functions such as: posting menus, database management to track expenses for charter customers, monitor mailboxes, & report key departmental dataResolves non-compliance and quality issues with internal and external suppliersCreates and publishes Charter provisioning specifications/galley diagramsCommunicate Charter menu requirements to catering business partners and/or restaurants, ensuring flights are catered in a safe and on-time mannerBe available when assigned customers are flying to handle any last-minute request or operational irregularity (ie: IROPs)Coordinate with security business partners and other vendors to ensure all regulatory requirements are metEnsure caterer business partner, vendors, restaurants all adhere to HACCP Food Safety requirementsResponsible for auditing and reconciling caterer/restaurant invoices and receipts Reports catering spend to Charter customers and the Charter finance team when requiredReports all catering accidents, injuries, and failures in real time to ensure corrective measures and enacted Participate on the Monthly Delta Charter call Maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging catering innovations pertinent to the roleRequired to support a 24/7 operation

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Minimum of 2 years related experienceMust have or be able to comply with all required training including soft skill and technical requirementsMust be a self-starter and be able to work independently with limited instruction or supervisionEmbraces diverse people, thinking and stylesDirect hands-on experience within the aviation industryAbility to coach and mentor our catering business partners in their adherence to catering specificationsMust be able to communicate and work effectively with high-profile clients, suppliers and catering business partners Must be proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office applications Travel may be required Must be performing satisfactorily in current positionConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
