Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance of aircraft work packages, open and closed records which include data entry, scanning, auditing, and filing paperwork, daily.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process aircraft documents as follows:

  • Assist in preparing incoming work package with data entries by checking the printed work package against the master tally.
  • Check that all routine work cards have budgeted hours where required.
  • Assist in ensuring that all drawings or references called for in the work cards are available.
  • Check and ensure that all data entries for the work package are accurate and updated in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that all non-routine cards have been entered into Ebis with complete task discrepancy descriptions and estimated budget hours.
  • For work in progress aircraft, perform periodic audits on open and closed cards, and search for all missing cards.
  • Perform data entries and scan all closed cards ensuring the necessary fields have been completed, per standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare daily aircraft status report on open/closed cards status, invested man hours and budget.
  • Coordinate documentation with other departments, including customer representatives on issues relating to aircraft documentation.

2. Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.

3. Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary for each interdepartmental position authorized by the department manager and/or Training Department.

4. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a good knowledge of office procedures and equipment including copiers, calculators, scanners, and computers. Ability to prepare routine reports using MS Office.

SUPERVISION: Under general direction. performs assignment after receiving detailed instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. Little room for deviation.

INTERPERSONAL RELATION: A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with management and co-workers.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Requires easy mobility around the aircraft hangar and the dexterity to move paperwork between storage racks or offices. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally and report to work on assigned shift schedule.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and three years related experience in a manufacturing or logistics’ environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
