As a Billing Accounting Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing the billing process to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for our contracts. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining financial integrity and supporting our customer relationships. You will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of our Aerospace business by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and ensuring adherence to regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
You will report directly to our Sr Controllership Manager and you’ll work out of our San Jose, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring that all billing invoices are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices in a timely manner.
- Review billing discrepancies and resolve issues with customers and internal teams.
- Review daily the billings on hold and communicate with customer service.
- Manage assigned contract billings to ensure compliance with US Government contract regulations.
- Maintain accurate billing records and address all billing requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit requirements and provide guidance on compliance matters.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5 years of experience in accounting in billing and accounts receivable roles.
- Strong understanding of billing processes and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Government contracts.
- Experience in working in SAP.
- Intermediate Excel skills such as pivot tables, sum, ifs, vlookups
- Ability to work independently and have attention to detail.

Salary Range: $67,800 - $84,900 (San Jose, CA). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
