At Virgin Atlantic, we’ve always believed that travel should feel brilliantly different. For over 40 years, we’ve challenged the ordinary, championed thoughtful experiences, and done things with heart. Our purpose is simple: to become the most loved travel company—for our customers, for our people, and for the communities we serve.
Behind every flight we operate is a talented team working with passion, precision and ambition. Our Finance organisation plays a vital role in safeguarding our financial strength and enabling smart, forward-thinking decision-making that keeps our business flying. If you’re looking to join a company that blends innovation with purpose, and where your work directly supports the exceptional experiences we’re known for, you’ll feel right at home here.
As our next Accountant – Revenue Recognition, you’ll help underpin one of the most important areas of financial reporting within Virgin Atlantic. Supporting the recognition of over 200m in monthly revenues, as well as balance sheet positions of more than 600m, you’ll ensure our books are accurate, reliable and fully aligned to IFRS.
This role is all about owning and improving the financial control environment around our RPA/Tbox and Oracle systems. You’ll help keep our month-end process robust and insightful, partner across multiple teams, and drive improvements that make our reporting cleaner, safer and more efficient.
If you enjoy working with complex data, streamlining processes, and contributing to meaningful financial insight, this is a chance to make a real impact in a business where innovation and continuous improvement are part of our DNA.

- Comfortable analysing complex data and identifying issues and opportunities.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and controls.
- Confident exercising judgement and prioritising effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for non-financial stakeholders.
